What happened to Friday Starz Karaoke & Sunday Starz Clowns at The Alroy Tavern, Plumpton?

 

The short version is, I made the decision to quit for moral and ethical reasons over a very poor decision made by the Alroy Tavern management after an incident that occurred at Karaoke on Friday 28 March 2010.

 

As we may yet be taking legal action, I cannot provide any more details at this time.

 

After more than four years successfully providing quality family entertainment at the Alroy Tavern, we can no longer morally or ethically continue to do so.

 

Over the years we have met and performed for thousands of happy children and their families. We’ve watched them enjoy birthday parties or other celebrations on Sundays with us at The Alroy. We’ve painted countless smiling faces and shared lots of fun times with you all. In more recent times, Starz Karaoke has also been providing our hosted karaoke show on Friday nights, with a regular crowd growing steadily.

 

It really saddens me to end our association with the people of the Alroy. It is a decision not taken lightly because will affect many families who regularly attend on Sundays and also the Starz Clowns and Face Painters who will miss the kids and will also loose income.
